Event Project Manager

I'm currently partnering with a well-established events and exhibitions business that's experiencing continued growth and is looking to add an experienced Event Project Manager to their Auckland team.

You'll be responsible for managing projects from initial client enquiry through to delivery, while also identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and provide additional solutions that add value for your clients.

If you're someone who loves building relationships, managing multiple moving parts, and seeing a project come to life from concept to completion, this could be the perfect next step.

What's involved?
This is a true end-to-end project management role where you'll take ownership of a portfolio of exhibition, conference, trade show, and event projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects from briefing through to onsite delivery and pack-down
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as their key point of contact
• Preparing quotations, proposals, and project costings
• Coordinating internal teams, suppliers, venues, and contractors
• Managing timelines, budgets, logistics, and resource requirements
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and solutions to clients
• Growing existing client accounts through exceptional service and proactive relationship management
• Monitoring project profitability and commercial outcomes
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard

What we're looking for:
We're keen to speak with candidates who bring a blend of project management expertise and commercial awareness.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience in events, exhibitions, conferences, activations, or a related project-based environment
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Confidence managing client relationships and stakeholder expectations
• Experience preparing quotes, proposals, and managing budgets
• A customer-focused approach with the ability to identify and convert additional opportunities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience using CRM and project management systems

Experience within the exhibitions and events sector will be highly regarded, particularly if you've worked with exhibition infrastructure, custom builds, signage, furniture hire, logistics, or venue operations.
