Event Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking vigilant, professional, and licensed Event Security Officers to provide high-level security services for a prestigious corporate conference in Miami Beach. This role is focused on access control, standing post security, and maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment within a luxury hotel setting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong command presence, attention to detail, and a hospitality-focused approach. This is not nightclub or aggressive enforcement security. We are seeking disciplined professionals who understand executive-level environments and can maintain safety through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

• Stand assigned security posts for extended periods (6–8+ hours)
• Monitor premises through patrols and visual surveillance to identify potential security threats
• Verify credentials and control access to private and restricted event areas
• Monitor lobby entrances, beach access points, and tented event perimeters
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety compliance
• Manage crowd control and prevent disruptive or unsafe behavior
• Provide clear direction and professional assistance to attendees and staff
• Maintain strong situational awareness and visible deterrence
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, conflicts, or medical emergencies
• Enforce event policies and safety regulations consistently
• Assist with entry screening procedures, including credential and ticket verification
• Provide first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinate with emergency services
• Document incidents accurately and prepare detailed reports
• Work in coordination with event leadership, hotel security, and local authorities

Requirements

• Active Florida Class D Security License (Required)
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, hotel security, or corporate event environments preferred
• Certification in First Aid and CPR highly desirable (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to work day, evening, and overnight shifts
• Availability for multiple consecutive event days
• Reliable transportation to Miami Beach
• Professional grooming and uniform standards required
• Strong knowledge of security procedures, crowd management, and emergency response protocols

Schedule & Shifts

• Daytime access control posts
• Evening event security (typically 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
• Overnight asset protection shifts available
• Must be flexible and available for the full duration of the event

Compensation

• $30-$35 per hour
• Overtime paid in accordance with Florida law
• Opportunity for future high-profile corporate assignments
