Event Service Worker

Job Summary

Groundswell Event Space is seeking a dependable, organized, and service-oriented Event Service Worker to support event preparation, venue setup, guest services, and event-day operations. This role assists with preparing event spaces, organizing supplies, supporting guests and event staff, maintaining clean service areas, and helping with event breakdown and cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing event spaces before scheduled events.
• Set up tables, chairs, decorations, signage, displays, and event equipment.
• Organize event supplies, materials, and service stations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and organizing event equipment and supplies.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and presentable event areas.
• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional assistance.
• Assist guests with directions, seating, registration, and general event questions.
• Support event coordinators, supervisors, and other event team members.
• Assist with food and beverage service when assigned.
• Monitor guest and service areas and restock supplies as needed.
• Communicate guest requests, supply needs, and service concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with routine coordination between event staff, vendors, caterers, and venue personnel.
• Follow event schedules, setup instructions, and service procedures.
• Handle event equipment, decorations, supplies, and customer property carefully.
• Follow workplace safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Help maintain organized guest and service areas throughout events.
• Assist with cleaning, packing, organizing, and storing event equipment after events.
• Support event breakdown and help return spaces to their proper condition.
• Work effectively with team members during busy event periods.
• Perform other event service and venue support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous event, hospitality, catering, venue, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to follow schedules, instructions, and event procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in busy and changing event environments.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to perform hands-on setup, service, and cleanup tasks.
• Professional and calm approach when assisting guests.
• Flexible and willing to assist with different event-related responsibilities.

About Groundswell Event Space

Groundswell Event Space provides an event-focused environment designed to support organized and welcoming gatherings. The team works together to maintain professional service, prepared event spaces, cleanliness, efficient operations, and a positive guest experience.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
