Event set up labourers

About the role

This is a hands-on, physical role working as part of an experienced event crew. Your work will include setting up and dismantling marquees and event structures, installing flooring, furniture and event equipment, loading and unloading trucks, picking and preparing equipment at the warehouse, setting up weddings, festivals, corporate events and other major events, travelling to different event sites across Victoria, and packing down events and returning equipment to the warehouse. No marquee or event experience is required. Training is provided to people with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Key responsibilities

• Setting up and dismantling marquees and event structures
• Installing flooring, furniture and event equipment
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Picking and preparing equipment at the warehouse
• Setting up weddings, festivals, corporate events and other major events
• Travelling to different event sites across Victoria
• Packing down events and returning equipment to the warehouse

About you

• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Work well as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Can follow instructions and work safely
• Available for flexible hours, including some early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Advantageous but not essential: Construction, landscaping, removals, warehousing or labouring experience
• Advantageous but not essential: Event or marquee installation experience
• Advantageous but not essential: Forklift licence, MR or HR truck licence, White Card, or experience towing trailers or driving larger vehicles

Twilight Event Hire is based in Geelong and provides marquees, structures, flooring, furniture and event equipment for a wide range of events across Victoria and interstate. The work ranges from weddings and corporate events through to some of Victoria's largest music festivals and major events.
