Event "Strike" Staff (movers, packers)

JOB TITLE: Event STRIKE Crew

Job Summary: Strike Staff will be responsible for efficiently taking down event decor, carefully packaging items, and assisting in the loading and unloading of event-related materials. Dismantling, Moving, Packaging, Loading, Unloading

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating Company Vehicles: Drive company box trucks as needed to deliver or pick up hard goods - must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

• Event Decor Dismantling: Efficiently dismantle and take down event decor in accordance with established guidelines and timelines. Safely handle a variety of decor elements, including but not limited to lighting fixtures, backdrops, table settings, and other decorative items.

• Packaging and Organization: Carefully pack and secure event decor items to prevent damage during transportation. Ensure proper labeling and organization of packaged items for easy retrieval and inventory management.

• Loading and Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of event materials onto and from transportation vehicles. Collaborate with team members to ensure that all items are loaded securely and efficiently.

• Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of event decor items to identify any damages or issues during the takedown process. Report any damages or discrepancies to the supervisor for prompt resolution.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth and coordinated workflow. Communicate effectively with team leads and event coordinators to understand specific event requirements.

• Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Properly use and maintain equipment and tools, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns.

Qualifications:

• Reliable Transportation

• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.

• High school diploma/GED required

• Ability to follow multi-step directions

• Knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Able to work with all levels of staff

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands

• Must be able to work on your feet as well as stationary for at least 10 hours daily

• Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds

• Must be able to kneel, bend, crouch and climb 16’ ladders

Pay Range: $40.00 per hour

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 15.0 per week

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Moving: 3 years (Required)
• Warehouse: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Required)

• Overnight Shift (Required)
