Event Support

Baltimore Unity Hall is a transformative nonprofit community center located at 1505 Eutaw Place, serving Baltimore’s Madison Park, Marble Hill, Upton, Bolton Hill, and other Central West Baltimore neighborhoods. Our vision was developed by and for community stakeholders to provide affordable, high-quality work spaces, job opportunities and training, and a safe place for education, cultural events, community meetings, and engagement.

At Unity Hall, we have three unique event spaces complete with projection, sound systems, microphones, web conferencing, tables, chairs, linen, a stage, and stage lighting. As a member of the event support team, you'd set up and manage the spaces while providing excellent customer service for each of our many and varied events.

Responsibilities

Work with clients to accommodate last-minute changes

Set up spaces based on client needs (tables, chairs, linens, etc.)

Troubleshoot the A/V System

Organize materials and equipment

Inventory items

Qualifications

Event work experience

Ability to work with a team and diverse communities

Ability to lift, push, pull, or roll up to 75 lbs.

Familiarity with Google apps, e.g., Calendar, Meet, Drive

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 per hour
