We are seeking reliable, active, and detail-oriented Event Support Staff to join our hospitality operations team!

Position Summary

As an Event Support Staff, you are the backbone of our event executions. You will be responsible for bringing our event spaces to life through set up, ongoing venue support during events, and efficient post-event tear-down.

This is an entry-level position open to candidates 16 years of age and older. Whether you are a high school or college student looking for evening/weekend work or simply someone who enjoys hands-on, team-oriented physical work, this role offers flexible scheduling in a fast-paced, high-energy environment!

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Event Setup:
• Transport, arrange, and set up farmhouse tables, round tables, ceremony chairs (for up to 300+ guests), and lounge furniture according to floor plans.
• Assist with setting up indoor ballroom spaces (Grand Acre & Half Acre) and outdoor ceremony spaces beneath the oaks.
• Ensure grounds, walkways, patios, and main entryways are clean, clear, and presentable before guest arrival.
• During Event Operations:
• Maintain clean guest areas, restock restrooms, empty trash, and clear debris as needed.
• Assist the venue manager and bar/event staff with logistics, restocking supplies, or quick spatial transitions (e.g., flipping a space from ceremony to cocktail hour).
• Maintain a polite, professional, and friendly presence around event host clients and guests.
• Post-Event Take Down & Clean Up:
• Efficiently tear down tables, break down chairs, and store venue equipment safely.
• Perform basic end-of-night venue reset, trash removal, and sweeping/mopping so the facility is clean for the next day.
• Secure outdoor furniture and venue equipment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Age: Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of hire (underage applicants will need a valid school work permit if required by Illinois law).
• Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 40–50 lbs regularly during a shift (tables, chairs, equipment).
• Availability: Flexible weekend availability (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) is required, including late-evening night shifts for post-event tear down.
• Work Ethic: Strong attendance record, positive attitude, and ability to follow verbal directions and floorplan schematics.
• Team Player: Works well in a fast-paced environment with a crew.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from our Ottawa, IL facility.

Schedule:

• 4 to 10-hour shifts
• Evening and weekend availability required (Friday – Sunday)
