Event Technician

Location: Warrington
Reporting to: Production Lead
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £28,000-35,000 DOE

Summary:
As an Event Technician at Maverick Live, you’ll be at the heart of Live Event delivery, splitting your time between our warehouse and onsite across the UK.

You’ll help prepare, test and maintain our AV equipment in the warehouse and also take your knowledge onsite to deliver for our clients alongside our production team. We’ll build your role around your skills and experience, with real opportunities to develop within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing, testing and de-prepping technical equipment ready for live shows
• Supporting technical delivery onsite across Audio, Vision, Lighting and Staging
• Working with the production team to explore technical solutions
• Regular installation of hired AV equipment
• Working in the warehouse, maintaining and testing equipment
• Using our rental system to keep stock organised and accurate
• Assisting with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading vehicles
• Helping keep the warehouse neat, safe and efficient
• Developing your technical knowledge across all disciplines

Essential attributes:

• Positive, hands-on attitude
• Punctual, reliable and proactive
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to carry out the physical requirements of the role
• A keen interest in AV production
• Eager to learn and develop your technical skills
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Desirable skills:

• Experience in an AV or events warehouse
• Experience delivering live events onsite
• Hands-on experience in Audio, Vision or Lighting
• Equipment maintenance or repair experience

Working Hours:
Live Events don’t always run 9 to 5, so there’s some flexibility in this role. Typical hours are 0900-17:30, Mon-Fri, but your time will often align with event schedules and operational requirements, so out of hours and occasional weekend work should be expected. We look after our team with our industry-leading TOIL scheme and work hard to maintain a healthy work/life balance.

Location:
This role is based at our Warrington HQ and warehouse, with on-site work at venues as projects require.
