Events & PR Specialist

About the role

Geely Auto Australia is looking for an energetic and highly organised Events & PR Specialist to join our growing Marketing & Communications team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life — from new vehicle launches and media drive programs to motor shows, brand activations, sponsorship events and PR campaigns. You'll support the planning and delivery of Geely Australia's key events, sponsorship activations and PR programs, working closely with internal teams, agencies, suppliers and external partners to ensure every project is delivered smoothly, on time and to a high standard. The role combines strong event execution, project management, PR coordination and content skills, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being close to the action.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of Geely Australia's key events, including multiple new vehicle launches, media drive programs, motor shows, brand activations and other consumer-facing experiences
• Coordinate with event, creative and production agencies to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and in line with brand standards
• Support event budgeting, quotations, purchase orders, invoices and post-event reconciliation
• Provide hands-on support across bump-in, live event days and bump-out
• Conduct post-event reviews and reporting, capturing key results and learnings
• Support the delivery and execution of sponsorship contracts, activations, and partner events, bringing Geely's sponsorships to life through engaging brand experiences
• Coordinate on-ground activations, vehicle displays, hospitality, competitions, consumer experiences and other sponsorship deliverables
• Manage all elements of the Geely Australia press fleet program including media bookings, vehicle transportation, liaising with suppliers
• Support the end-to-end coordination of vehicle launches, media drives and media events
• Work closely with Social Media, Brand, Product and agency teams to maximise content opportunities around events, launches and sponsorship activations

About you

• 3–5 years' experience in events, PR, communications, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation or a related role
• Experience delivering brand events, product launches, consumer activations or sponsorship programs
• Strong project management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience coordinating agencies, suppliers and multiple internal stakeholders
• Good understanding of PR, social media and content production
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence managing budgets, timelines and operational requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly when plans change
• Willingness to occasionally work outside standard business hours and travel for events when required
