What they need

Manchester | Events Assistant | Full-time

You are the person who naturally stays on top of the details when a project or plan is coming together. While others focus only on the big picture, you're double-checking the run-sheet, keeping track of kit, and ensuring everything is set up exactly where it needs to be before doors open.

If you enjoy practical, hands-on work where clear coordination and composure under pressure matter, this full-time role in Manchester is a great match. We are expanding our regional operations and need an organized Events Assistant to support the preparation, delivery, and logistics for our upcoming calendar of local events and brand activities.

Overview of Duties

Working closely with our event leads, you will help coordinate physical setups, vendor contact, and live event support across Manchester venues. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Preparing event kits, branded collateral, and promotional stock ahead of schedule.
  • Assisting with the physical setup, layout, and pack-down of event spaces and display stands.
  • Welcoming guests and visitors at entry points, managing guest lists, and directing queries.
  • Communicating with venue staff and suppliers to ensure access, AV, and catering run smoothly.
  • Monitoring live event areas to maintain clean, orderly, and professional spaces throughout the day.
  • Gathering attendee feedback, visitor numbers, and campaign engagement metrics.
  • Updating internal event logs, inventory sheets, and post-event debrief documents.
  • Assisting the wider project team with administrative tasks and scheduling during peak event periods.

Candidate Qualities & Profile

We look for methodical habits, good communication, and a practical mindset rather than years of industry experience. We are looking for:

  • A punctual, dependable approach to work, with high standards for personal presentation.
  • Good verbal communication skills and a polite manner when dealing with vendors and the public.
  • Strong personal organization and the ability to keep track of physical equipment and task lists.
  • Practical problem-solving skills when venue plans or schedules require quick adjustments.
  • Ability to work comfortably on your feet and assist with event setup logistics.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, retail, administration, or university event societies is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.

Skills Progression & Coaching

We provide clear, hands-on guidance so you gain real operational experience from your first week.

You will start by shadowing senior event coordinators through venue prep, inventory checks, and live floor management. Through regular one-to-one catch-ups, you’ll receive feedback on your site coordination and project organization. As your familiarity with our suppliers and event formats grows, you will take on independent responsibility for specific event zones, vendor check-ins, and floor coordination.

Package Details

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Full initial training covering event logistics, safety standards, and site operations
  • Regular one-to-one coaching and constructive skills feedback
  • Practical experience across live events and brand activations
  • Team social activities and incentives
  • Recognition for high reliability and thorough preparation
  • Clear routes to take on broader coordination responsibilities
