What they need
London | Events Assistant | Full-time
You are the sort of person who naturally keeps an eye on the moving parts of a project. Long before an event opens to the public, you’re checking that gear lists are complete, signage is straight, and schedules are clear so that everything runs smoothly when guest movement peaks.
If you are looking for an active, hands-on role in London where clear coordination, practical problem-solving, and attention to detail are genuinely valued, this position will suit you well. We are expanding our London team and are looking for a reliable Events Assistant to support the preparation, floor delivery, and logistics for our upcoming series of brand activations and venue events.
Core Responsibilities
Working directly alongside our event production leads, you will support every phase of event execution across key London venues. Your main duties will include:
- Auditing, packing, and prepping event kit, promotional materials, and technical equipment before dispatch.
- Assisting with on-site floor assembly, display positioning, and signage placement ahead of guest arrival.
- Staffing registration desks, managing entry queues, and handing out event accreditation packs.
- Answering attendee queries clearly and providing guidance on event schedules and venue layouts.
- Monitoring live event spaces throughout the day to ensure safety standards and visual presentation stay high.
- Liaising on site with venue logistics leads, external contractors, and catering suppliers.
- Gathering attendee feedback, visitor counts, and session engagement numbers for post-event logs.
- Packing down equipment safely post-event and reconciling inventory back at base.
Candidate Traits & Background
We value strong organizational habits, high personal standards, and a level-headed mindset over a lengthy resume in production management. We look for:
- Clear, confident verbal communication and an approachable, professional manner with the public.
- High attention to detail when tracking physical inventory, schedules, and run-sheets.
- A practical, calm approach when floor schedules or room layouts need adjusting mid-shift.
- Dependability, punctual habits, and comfort working active, floor-based shifts.
- Strong team-first attitude during setup and pack-down periods.
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, retail, administration, or university society events is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.
Skills Coaching & Progression
We make sure you receive thorough, structured preparation so you can handle live event shifts with total confidence.
Your onboarding will involve working alongside senior event leads, learning our inventory systems, safety protocols, and venue setup routines step-by-step. Through regular one-to-one catch-ups, you will receive constructive feedback on your floor management and logistics execution. As you build experience across our partner venues, you will have opportunities to manage specific event zones, coordinate vendor arrivals, and progress toward broader event planning responsibilities.
What's Included
- Competitive base salary
- Performance-based bonuses linked to event execution targets
- Full initial training covering event safety, inventory tools, and site operations
- Regular one-to-one coaching and practical skills development
- Hands-on experience across high-profile London venues and live brand campaigns
- Team social events and group incentives
- Formal recognition for thorough preparation and strong reliability
- Direct pathways to take on event coordination duties
Application Steps
If you want to build practical event management experience within a supportive London team, please submit your CV along with your up-to-date contact details. We review applications on a rolling basis and will reach out to suitable candidates for an initial telephone conversation.
