What they need

Events Assistant | Nottingham | Full Time | Training Provided

Ever wondered what actually goes into making an event work? Come find out.

We’re adding an Events Assistant to our Nottingham team. You’ll be there before the first customer arrives, involved while everything is happening and part of the team making sure the event comes together properly.

One day you could be helping prepare an event space and getting everything ready to go. The next, you’re speaking with customers, supporting a campaign and dealing with the little things that inevitably pop up once an event gets busy.

The day to day of an Events Assistant

  • Preparing event spaces before opening
  • Setting up displays and promotional materials
  • Welcoming and speaking with customers
  • Representing brands and explaining current campaigns
  • Supporting customer engagement throughout the event
  • Keeping displays and event areas organised
  • Working with the team to hit campaign goals
  • Packing down and preparing for the next event

Never worked an event before? That’s fine. You’ll learn alongside the team, with hands on training covering event preparation, customer engagement, brand representation and how to keep things running when an event gets busy.

Learn how events actually work

Once you’ve got the basics down, there’s more to get involved with. You can learn how events are organised, how locations are prepared, how teams are coordinated and how performance is reviewed afterwards.

Show us you can handle more and we’ll give you more to handle. That could mean helping lead part of an event, supporting new team members and eventually developing towards event leadership and management responsibilities.

What you’ll get

  • Competitive pay
  • Full training when you start
  • Hands on experience at events and campaigns
  • Regular coaching and feedback
  • Experience working with different brands
  • Opportunities to develop leadership skills
  • Progression as your experience grows
  • Team activities and incentives

You don’t need an events degree or years of experience. We’re looking for someone who can talk to people, stay organised, think on their feet and bring some energy when there’s a lot going on.

If you’d rather experience events from the inside than just hear about them afterwards, we’d like to meet you.

Apply today to join our Nottingham events team.
