Events Bartender

The Bartending Staff is responsible for greeting customers, learning about their preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items, and preparing and serving beverages and food. This is a SEASONAL/AS NEEDED position that reports to the Wedding and Events Manager

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately complete cash, credit card and gift card transactions using point of sale system
• Be available for private tastings for couples selecting their Signature Drinks
• Maintain sanitation of the preparation and service areas
• Stock condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest use
• Clean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors and empty trash in the bar/dining area
• Check customer’s identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
• Mix all drinks based on the standard serving sizes, keeping drink costs at a minimum
• Participate in other projects and activities as assigned

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

• 1+ year experience bartending
• TIPS training required
• State required certification

• Basic computer skills
• Positive, engaging personality, strong work ethic and professional appearance
• Strong organizational, motivational, and leadership skills
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Work with minimal supervision
• Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position, occasionally in warm temperatures
• Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
• Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, serve, etc.
