What they need
Manchester | Events Coordinator | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week
You are the person who naturally stays three steps ahead during a complex project. While others focus only on the main event, you are already checking supplier delivery windows, confirming venue access times, and making sure the floor team has exact run-sheets so nothing gets missed when doors open.
If you are looking for a grounded, hands-on coordination role in Manchester where your methodical mindset, calm communication, and eye for detail keep operations running like clockwork, this position is a great fit. We are expanding our regional team and need an Events Coordinator to oversee logistical preparation, venue relationships, and live floor delivery across our Manchester events.
Core Operational Responsibilities
Working directly alongside our production leads and venue partners, you will manage both pre-event planning and live shift execution. Your primary duties will include:
- Drafting detailed event run-sheets, floor plans, and staff shift schedules ahead of load-in.
- Coordinating with external venue managers, equipment suppliers, and catering contractors to finalize timings.
- Auditing event kit, promotional materials, and technical gear to guarantee complete site dispatches.
- Briefing ground staff and event assistants on shift duties, safety standards, and venue layouts.
- Supervising live floor operations, monitoring guest movement, and keeping sessions running on time.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for venue staff and site managers during live events.
- Tracking shift attendance, logging attendee numbers, and compiling post-event performance reports.
- Managing post-event pack-downs, ensuring gear is audited and safely returned to central storage.
What We Look For
We place far more value on exceptional organization, clear communication, and a level-headed approach under pressure than on years of agency experience. We look for:
- Clear, professional spoken and written English with an approachable, confident manner.
- High attention to detail when managing schedules, inventory lists, and supplier contacts.
- A calm, practical approach to problem-solving when site plans or timings shift on short notice.
- Strong personal reliability, punctuality, and comfort working active, floor-based shifts.
- Good computer literacy, including confidence using spreadsheets and scheduling tools.
- Previous experience in event support, hospitality, administration, customer service, retail, or university society coordination is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.
Guidance & Career Development
We provide thorough, structured support so you master our logistics platform, venue network, and production standards with confidence.
Your onboarding will involve shadowing senior production leads through full event lifecycles—from initial supplier outreach to final site pack-downs. Through regular one-to-one coaching sessions, you will receive practical feedback on your floor management, schedule drafting, and contractor relations. As your venue experience grows, you will take ownership of larger regional events, direct multi-zone campaigns, and progress toward senior event management roles.
Included Benefits
- Competitive base salary
- Enhanced pay rates for weekend event shifts
- Performance-based bonuses linked to event delivery targets
- Full initial training covering event safety, supplier management, and production tools
- Regular one-to-one coaching and continuous professional development
- Hands-on coordination experience across high-profile Manchester venues
