What they need

Location: Sheffield

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Standard working hours, with flexibility required during events

Training: Provided

Enjoy meeting people, exploring new environments and being part of something exciting? The Events Coordinator role offers the chance to get involved in live events, represent brands and gain practical experience in promotional campaigns. It's a great starting point for someone who enjoys variety, thrives around people and wants to build valuable skills through experience rather than just theory.

Get Involved

This is an entry-level opportunity to learn how events and promotional campaigns come together, from preparing for activities to helping create a positive experience for attendees. Working alongside an event team, the successful candidate will gain practical experience, receive guidance and gradually build confidence in supporting different campaigns. Previous events experience isn't essential; enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are a great place to start.

A Typical Day as an Events Coordinator

Every campaign brings something different. Responsibilities may include:

  • Helping prepare event spaces and promotional materials.
  • Engaging with members of the public in a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Representing brands and communicating their key messages.
  • Answering general questions and sharing relevant information.
  • Coordinating with colleagues to keep event activities organised.
  • Adjusting to different venues, audiences and campaign requirements.
  • Helping the team deliver campaign objectives and a positive experience.

The Kind of Person Who’ll Enjoy This

  • Social confidence: Enjoys meeting people and starting conversations.
  • Energy and enthusiasm: Brings a positive attitude and gets involved.
  • Adaptability: Handles changing plans and environments comfortably.
  • Teamwork: Works well with others and contributes to shared goals.
  • Organisation and reliability: Manages tasks carefully and follows through on commitments.
  • Initiative: Spots what needs attention and takes practical action.
  • Composure: Stays approachable and focused when things get busy.

Previous events experience isn't required. Experience in hospitality, retail, promotions, volunteering, sports teams or other customer-facing roles can be useful, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valuable.

What You’ll Pick Up Along the Way

Practical experience will help develop skills in event coordination, customer engagement, brand communication and campaign organisation. There will also be opportunities to strengthen confidence, improve teamwork and explore leadership responsibilities as experience grows.

The Extras

  • Competitive base pay.
  • Performance-related incentives, where applicable.
  • Training and ongoing guidance.
  • Team activities and company events.
  • Recognition for contributions and achievements.
  • Development opportunities based on performance and available roles.
