Events Coordinator

Recipe Philly is a first-of-its-kind restaurant: a full-service dining experience built on the principles of Heirloom Hospitality. Every dish on our menu comes from a real family recipe, surfaced through a citywide competition and accompanying TV series. The food here means something. So does the team that serves it.

We’re looking for a Sales & Events Coordinator to make Recipe Philly the go-to Center City venue for large groups. You’ll build relationships with local businesses, organizations and community groups. You’ll turn those relationships into corporate events, private parties, and off-premise catering orders, and grow a base of repeat clients who book with us again and again.

This is a full-time, on-site role working closely with our Marketing Director. Responsibilities include:

Corporate & Special Events

• Build relationships with local businesses, offices, convention groups, and event planners
• Reach the office managers, executive assistants and HR teams who control event budgets
• Create custom packages for happy hours, holiday parties, client events and team gatherings, built around group size, menu, beverage and budget
• Sell the restaurant for private parties, business meetings, and smaller group dinners

Community Outreach & Client Retention

• Build relationships with student organizations, book clubs, religious groups, professional associations and other social communities
• Follow up with past clients to keep relationships active and secure repeat business
• Represent Recipe Philly at local food events and festivals

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in restaurant, hotel or event sales, or another role built on new business development
• Comfort with cold outreach, and the persistence to follow up until a lead closes
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple events, proposals and follow-ups at once
• Connections to Philadelphia’s business and community networks
• Bonus: experience with Toast and Tripleseat or a similar event management platform

How Success Is Measured
Success is measured against an annual goal of $1 million in completed event sales, plus the new client relationships and repeat bookings that sustain it.

Compensation Details
$40,000 base salary plus 3% commission on completed events. Expected total earnings are $70,000 at goal.
