About Voco Gosford & The Archibald Precinct voco Gosford opened December 2025 at the heart of The Archibald Precinct, an hour north of Sydney on the NSW Central Coast. It's a 130-room lifestyle hotel with six hospitality venues — including a modern Australian pub, a rooftop bar and a signature restaurant — plus two levels of conference and events space overlooking Brisbane Waters. We cater to business and leisure travellers, and give locals a swanky destination to meet.

The role

As our Events Executive, you'll thrive on planning, organising and building genuine relationships with clients, couples, vendors and colleagues. You'll showcase everything voco Gosford has to offer and pull together truly unforgettable events, meetings and conferences, from first enquiry through to the big day.

What you'll actually be doing

• Liaise with clients to build accurate events bookings
• Deliver exceptional service in person, by email and over the phone
• Get to know client requirements so you can meet their needs
• Respond to meetings and events enquiries, upselling to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue
• Log enquiries accurately in the sales and catering system, and compile function sheets and reports for the Operations team
• Be the main point of contact for couples, guiding them through planning their wedding day from start to finish
• Meet with clients to understand their event vision, preferences and requirements
• Help clients choose event space, catering, decor, themes, entertainment and other hotel services
• Develop and manage detailed banquet event orders, coordinating logistics so everything runs to schedule
• Support forecasts, department strategies, ad-hoc reports and budget preparation
• Build long-term relationships with planners and hosts to grow repeat conference and events business

What you'll bring

• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Proficiency in Delphi (Cvent and Meeting Broker) and Microsoft Office
• 3+ years' experience in an events setting or related field
• Previous groups, meetings and events experience in a hotel or sales role
• A passion for great client experiences and engagement
• Confidence heading off problems before they start, and handling service recovery when needed
• A love of fast-paced, motivated teams and a drive to take the next step in your career
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong administrative and time-management skills
• A team player's mindset and willingness to learn
