About Kariton x Sabi Sounds

Kariton x Sabi Sounds is where artisan gelato meets a listening café. Sabi Sounds is a Melbourne-born listening café and lounge that has found its Manila home in Salcedo Village, Makati. It moves from coffee and gelato by day to curated music and good company by night. It shares the space with Kariton, our artisan gelato, sorbet and dessert brand, creating a place where people come to slow down, listen and connect.

We're not a loud bar or a club. We're an intimate space for listening parties, DJ nights, community gatherings and thoughtful brand collaborations: curated, welcoming and never chaotic.

The Role

We're looking for an Events Manager to lead the events program at Kariton x Sabi Sounds Salcedo. You'll plan and deliver everything from listening parties and guest DJ nights to private bookings, venue buyouts and brand activations.

This is a hybrid role with a simple rule: whenever an event, booking or buyout is happening, you're in the venue. You'll be on the ground from setup through wrap-up, making sure every guest experience feels right. Outside of event days, planning and coordination can be done remotely.

What You'll Do

Events & Bookings

• Plan, coordinate and run events and activations, including listening parties, DJ nights, launches, previews and collaborations
• Manage private bookings, venue buyouts and ticketed events from first inquiry through to event day
• Lead on the ground during events and coordinate the talent and partners involved
• Make sure every event reflects the Sabi spirit: intimate, curated and welcoming

Music Bookings & Community

• Help move our music bookings from ad hoc arrangements to solid, confirmed bookings, with artists secured in advance on agreed dates and terms
• Build a dependable roster of recurring DJs and residencies
• Develop music-led and community programs, from listening sessions to lifestyle initiatives such as run clubs
• Work with connectors across music, lifestyle and creative circles, and build lasting relationships

Events Calendar

• Own the monthly events calendar across free community events, ticketed sessions and seasonal activations
• Keep a good balance of daytime and nighttime, commercial and cultural, and regular and special moments

Social Media & Brand Inquiries

• Our day-to-day social media posting is largely automated, so this role doesn't run the feed
• Handle brand and partnership inquiries that come in through social channels: respond, qualify the opportunity and coordinate next steps
• Work with the marketing team so events and collaborations are shared at the right time

Event Content & Creative Network

• Coordinate photographers, videographers and content creators to capture events, not as a solo creator but as the person who briefs and brings it together
• Keep content real and human rather than staged
• Build a trusted network of DJs, creatives and event suppliers, with simple, repeatable ways of working

How the Role Works

• In venue for every event, private booking and buyout, and when requested by management
• Remote for planning and coordination outside of event days
• All working time, in venue and remote, is recorded by clocking in and out
• Event work naturally includes evenings and weekends
• Currently part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the program expands

About You

• Experience in events, hospitality, music, lifestyle or brand activations
• A genuine love for music and community, ideally with connections in Manila's music, creative or lifestyle scene
• Organised, reliable and calm under pressure, especially on event nights
• A warm host at heart who cares about how guests feel
• Clear, confident communicator with artists, brands and guests
• Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes
• Based in or able to commute easily to Makati
