About us

We run three neighbourhood spots in Riverdale, steps from the North Saskatchewan River. Dogpatch is a bistro pub with burgers, pizza, weekend brunch and a dog-friendly patio. Little Brick is a cafe and general store in a historic house beside Riverdale Park, with a patio that hosts weddings, showers and parties after cafe hours. Bread + Butter is our bakery.

The job

People want to celebrate with us: weddings, engagement parties, baby showers, birthdays, holiday parties and corporate lunches. You turn those inquiries into great events, from the first email to the last guest out the door.

• Answer every event inquiry promptly and keep the pipeline up to date.

• Show the spaces, build quotes and proposals, and confirm bookings, deposits and contracts.

• Plan each event with the guest: menu, timing, layout, guest count and special requests.

• Hand clear event sheets to the kitchen and floor teams, and help staff each event.

• Be on site to run events on the night, or brief the lead who will.

• Follow up after each event, and help grow corporate, holiday and wedding business.

• Report to ownership.

Schedule

Part-time, 20 to 30 hours a week, with room to grow into a full-time role as the events program grows. Mostly weekdays for planning, with evening and weekend events.

What we are looking for

• Event, catering or hospitality experience.

• Organized and quick to reply. Nothing falls through the cracks.

• Warm with guests, clear with the team.

• Comfortable with email, calendars and spreadsheets.

• Available for evenings and weekends when events run.

• ProServe, or willing to get it.

What you get
