The ideal candidate will have experience handling eviction cases, strong legal writing and research abilities, and a solid understanding of New York landlord-tenant law. Experience with New York City's Good Cause Eviction Law (GCEL) and Rent Stabilization matters is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

- Monitor developments in New York eviction law, including GCEL and Rent Stabilization regulations.
- Educate clients on legal updates, industry trends, and potential impacts on their matters.
- Maintain accurate case records and effectively manage deadlines using the firm's case management system.
- Collaborate with attorneys, staff, and clients to ensure efficient case progression and positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 1+ year of legal practice experience; eviction, litigation, foreclosure, or title experience is preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior courtroom experience and confidence representing clients before judges is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
