JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises and coordinates cleaning tasks in all areas of the casino for a particular shift. Reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager.

All the Housekeeping Supervisors are working supervisors.

JOB DUTIES:

• Performs supervisory duties such as interviewing applicants, maintaining personnel records, performance appraisals, discipline, addressing complaints and resolving problems on shift.
• Responsible for organizing shift assignments and work schedules, adequate staffing, conducting shift meetings, training, and work procedures.
• Responsible for overseeing and assisting in the general cleaning of the casino and ensures quality of work of assigned shift according to department standards.
• Responsible for training and enforcing proper methods of cleaning and safety procedures.
• Responsible for enforcing all policies and procedures as established.
• Must keep informed of all casino activities and promotions, must possess good public relations skills, and be courteous and helpful to guests and associates at all times.
• Must exhibit good leadership skills, and always perform duties in a positive and professional manner.
• Must read, understand, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Personnel Policies and Procedures, and Department Rules.
• Must attend all meetings and/or training as directed by management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Comprehensive computer skills.
• Six months to one-year related experience or training.
• Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good organizational and clerical skills required.
• Must be able to obtain gaming license.
• Bi-cultural experience preferred.
• Native American preference.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction and correspondence.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

1. Must have a telephone.

• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, frequently above waist height.
• Must be in good physical condition.
