EW Systems Architect

A specialist engineering consultancy in the Cambridge area is expanding its defence work and needs an experienced EW Systems Architect to lead the technical direction.

The role

• Architect modular EW platforms, from concept through to delivery.
• Shape RF payloads, antennas and FPGA-based processing, working closely with RF, hardware and software engineers.
• Work with industry partners to integrate EW capability.
• Roughly 80% delivery and 20% supporting bids and proposals.
• A senior individual-contributor role, with no team to manage.

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years in EW systems engineering or architecture.
• A strong understanding of the EW threat landscape.
• A software or hardware background, both welcome, with breadth across RF, DSP, FPGA and systems.
• Experience supporting bids and working with defence customers.
• UK SC/UKEO clearance, or eligibility (essential).
• Consultancy experience is a plus.
