Excavator Operator

Calling All Operators!

We’re looking for experienced, seasoned operators to join us for a 10-month project.

Applicants must have proven experience operating excavators ranging from 1.5-tonne through to 50-tonne machines, with solid references to back up your experience and ability.

If you have experience driving Moxys or operating 825 compactors, we’d love to hear from you too. We’re after reliable, skilled operators who take pride in their work and can hit the ground running.

Shift & Schedule

• 6:30am – 6:30pm
• Six-day working week (Monday to Saturday)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate excavators ranging from 1.5-tonne to 50-tonne machines.
• Carry out bulk earthworks, trenching, loading, digging, trimming and general excavation work as required.
• Follow site plans, levels and instructions accurately to ensure work is completed to specification.
• Complete daily pre-start checks and ensure machinery is operated and maintained safely.
• Work alongside other operators, truck drivers, labourers and site personnel as part of a team.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Identify and report any machinery faults, hazards or site issues promptly.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, site rules and environmental requirements.
• Keep the work area tidy and operate machinery in a safe and professional manner.
• Be flexible to operate different machinery and assist with other site requirements when needed.

Requirements

• Current WTR endorsement.
• Current Class 2 driver licence.
• Pass a Pre Employment drugs test.
• Proven experience operating excavators from 1.5-tonne through to 50-tonne.
• Previous experience on civil, earthworks or large-scale projects preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and able to commit to the full 10-month project.
• Strong understanding of site safety and safe machinery operation.
• Able to work well as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Solid references demonstrating previous operating experience and reliability.
• Experience driving Moxys or operating 825 compactors is highly desirable.
• A strong work ethic and pride in producing quality work.
