1.5t Excavator Operator – Strathclyde Country Park

​Location: Strathclyde Country Park, Motherwell / Hamilton

Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour

Basis: Self-Employed (CIS)

Duration: 2 Days (Initial cover – Plenty of ongoing work available for good candidates)

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

​About the Role

​CiviX Group is currently recruiting 1x Experienced 1.5t Excavator Operator for an immediate start at Strathclyde Country Park. ML1 3RP

​This is a purely machine-based operator role with the main scope of work involving earth mats and concrete base preparation.

​This contract is initially for 2 days, but for a reliable, skilled operator who demonstrates high machine operating standards and a strong work ethic, there is plenty of ongoing work available across our pipeline of civil engineering and groundworks projects.

​Key Responsibilities

• ​Safe and proficient operation of a 1.5-tonne mini excavator on site.
• ​Precise excavation, grading, and ground preparation for earth mats and concrete pad bases.
• ​Working accurately to specified levels as directed by the site team.
• ​Conducting standard daily pre-start plant checks and keeping the machine clean and secure.
• ​Strict adherence to site Health & Safety rules and site guidelines at all times.

​Requirements

• ​Valid CPCS or NPORS card (Excavator 360 below 10 tonnes).
• ​Self-employed status with a valid UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference) number for CIS payment.
• ​Proven hands-on experience operating mini excavators on groundwork, base prep, and civil engineering sites.
• ​Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe-cap boots).
• ​Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
• ​Right to work in the UK.

Pay: From £20.00 per hour
