Excavator Operator

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join busy civil construction projects across Central and East Auckland. This role involves operating excavators on a range of civil works including trenching, drainage, earthworks, site cuts, and backfilling. We're looking for operators who are confident behind the controls and willing to jump out of the machine to assist the crew when required. If you have a strong work ethic, enjoy working as part of a team, and take pride in delivering quality work safely, we'd love to hear from you.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience operating excavators on civil construction projects
• Experience with trenching, drainage, earthworks, site cuts, backfilling, and general civil works
• Confidence working around underground services, crews, and active worksites
• Physically fit and willing to assist with labouring duties when required
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Current WTR endorsements (essential)
• Class 2 or Class 4 licence (advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently across various civil construction projects
• Complete trenching, drainage, earthworks, site cuts, and backfilling tasks
• Work around underground services and follow project specifications
• Assist ground crews with labouring and civil duties when required
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity, and site safety
