Excavator Operator

EXCAVATOR OPERATOR WANTED

We’re looking for an experienced excavator operator to join our crew.

Pay: $28–$34/hr, depending on experience.

We have projects in the St. George, UT area and McCall, ID, so there will be quite a bit of traveling with this position. You’ll need to be comfortable working out of town and being on the road.

• Experience running an excavator
• Able to dig, trench, load trucks, and fine grade
• Takes pride in their work and takes care of the equipment
• Reliable and shows up ready to work
• Works well with the rest of the crew
• Understands jobsite safety and working around utilities
• Willing to travel for projects
• Operate excavation equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, rollers, and other heavy equipment as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating excavation and heavy equipment required
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in varying site conditions
• Knowledge of excavation practices, trench safety, grading, and utility awareness
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation work
• Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, and directions from supervisors
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and properly maintain equipment to ensure safe operation
• Identify and report equipment maintenance or repair needs
• Work closely with ground crews and supervisors to complete work safely and efficiently
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage and jobsite hazard awareness
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• $50/night per diem while traveling
