Excavator Operator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavation Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate excavation equipment safely while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform trenching, grading, digging, backfilling, and site preparation work.
• Read and follow site plans, grades, and project specifications.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Work closely with supervisors, labourers, and other equipment operators.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
• Report equipment issues and site hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating excavators and related heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read site plans and grade stakes is an asset.
• Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Ground Disturbance, CSTS, WHMIS) are considered an asset.
