EXCAVATOR OPERATOR – FULL TIME

Focus Demolition & Asbestos Removal Pty Ltd provides complete demolition, asbestos removal and recycling services across a range of commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia.

We have a proven track record delivering large and technically challenging demolition projects, with our experienced management and site teams working closely with clients to achieve safe and successful project outcomes.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for ongoing work at our Muchea Recycling Facility and regional demolition projects throughout Western Australia.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

The role involves operating 21-tonne to 60-tonne excavators, including machines fitted with 360-degree rotational demolition attachments and our 26-metre high-reach demolition excavator.

Duties will include:

• Operating excavators from 21 tonnes through to 60 tonnes
• Operating excavators fitted with specialised demolition attachments
• Undertaking commercial and industrial demolition works
• Sorting, separating and stockpiling demolition materials
• Loading trucks and bins
• Feeding crushing and screening equipment
• Processing and handling demolition and recycled materials at our Muchea Recycling Facility
• Carrying out daily pre-start inspections and basic operator maintenance
• Working safely around other heavy plant, vehicles and site personnel
• Working on demolition projects throughout regional Western Australia as required

What We're Looking For

Applicants must have:

• Demonstrated experience operating excavators and heavy plant
• Experience operating medium to large excavators
• Current Construction White Card
• Strong focus on workplace health and safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability and willingness to work in Muchea and throughout regional and remote Western Australia
• A reliable, flexible and hardworking approach

Previous experience in commercial or industrial demolition and operating specialised demolition attachments is highly regarded but not essential, as additional demolition training can be provided to the right experienced Excavator Operator.

A current HR driver's licence is preferred.

• Salary: $82,000 to $85,000 + superannuation
