Excavator Operator/ Site manager

Job Summary

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment while coordinating daily site activities. You’ll support construction utility work, excavation, grading, and paving, and help keep crews, equipment, and work areas organized and safe. This hands-on role combines equipment operation with site management and requires clear communication and sound judgment.

Duties

• Operate excavators and, as needed, loaders, dozers.
• Coordinate site work, including utility locating, excavation, construction grading.
• Perform equipment inspections and routine construction machinery maintenance; report defects and arrange needed repairs.
• Follow equipment safety procedures and applicable safety regulations, including federal construction safety requirements.
• Your impact: Careful utility locating and safe equipment operation help protect crews and the public while keeping construction work moving.

Experience

• Construction experience, including construction site experience and construction utility work.
• Heavy equipment operation experience; excavator experience is central, with loader, dozer, backhoe, grader experience valued.
• Commercial driving or commercial truck driving experience is useful for operating dump trucks, water trucks, or tankers.
• Mechanical knowledge and equipment maintenance skills to support safe, reliable machinery operation.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
