Make a Difference in Our Community

Senior Citizens Activities, Inc. (SCAI) is seeking an experienced, community-minded Executive Director to lead the organization and advance its mission of serving seniors in West Bend, Washington County, and the surrounding area.

This is a unique opportunity for a collaborative and hands-on leader who enjoys building community relationships, developing programs and events, supporting staff and volunteers, and helping an organization plan for its future. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides overall leadership for SCAI's operations, programming, finances, fundraising, facilities, communications, and community engagement.

What You'll Do

As Executive Director, you will:

· Provide leadership for SCAI's mission, programs, operations, and future direction.

· Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors and support Board committees and organizational priorities.

· Lead fundraising initiatives and identify new opportunities to generate revenue and strengthen the organization.

· Develop programs, activities, and special events that respond to the interests and needs of SCAI members.

· Prepare the annual budget and oversee accounting, banking, and other financial activities.

· Build and maintain relationships with community officials, organizations, and partners that serve and support older adults.

· Lead efforts with the Board to assess facility needs and identify and secure appropriate space for current and future programming.

· Oversee facility operations, leases, safety requirements, vendors, suppliers, technology, insurance, and other organizational services.

· Recruit, onboard, train, coordinate, and support staff and volunteers.

· Provide day-to-day personnel leadership and address workplace concerns or conflicts, involving the Board when appropriate.

· Develop and distribute newsletters, promotional materials, social media content, and other communications that keep members and the community informed and engaged.

· Prioritize projects, manage timelines, and engage the Board for support when needed.

· Perform other responsibilities that support the continued success of SCAI.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and relationship builder who is comfortable balancing strategic leadership with the day-to-day needs of a community-based organization.

Preferred qualifications include:

· Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, geriatrics, social services, or a related field. Candidates without a bachelor's degree may qualify with relevant experience serving older adults, including demonstrated leadership in program development, community engagement, nonprofit operations or social services.

· Knowledge of professional standards and ethical practices related to serving older adults.

· Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation preferred.

· American Red Cross First Aid and CPR training and certification.

· Mental Health First Aid certification through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing preferred.

· Excellent public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Proficiency with computer applications and technology used to support organizational operations and communications.

Why Join SCAI?

This position offers the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on seniors and the broader West Bend community. The Executive Director will play an important role in strengthening SCAI's programs, partnerships, financial sustainability, and facilities while helping shape the organization's future.

If you are a collaborative leader who enjoys connecting people, building community partnerships, and turning ideas into action, we encourage you to apply.

About the Position

The Executive Director is an exempt position reporting to the Board of Directors, with the Board President serving as the primary liaison. The Executive Director also serves on the Board in a non-voting, ex-officio capacity.
