Executive, Accounting

What you will be doing:

• Handle basic accounting matters for HMM oversea agencies in SEA region.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) outstanding balances and drive collections to meet established KPIs.
• Audit Accounts Payable (AP) invoices, verify supporting documents, and process settlements between Agencies and HQ.
• Communicate regularly with subsidiary offices through calls, meetings, and teleconferences to resolve accounting and operational issues.
• Conduct business travel, as required, to support, train, and educate sub-office staff on accounting procedures and controls.
• Develop and implement control measures and provide guidance to agent offices in accordance with Headquarters’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure compliance with both internal and local policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.

Who we are looking for:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of relevant experiences in shipping agencies control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Results-driven and proactive, with the ability to achieve collection and account settlement targets.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate with regional offices.
• Willingness to travel for business when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and good IT skills with ability to work on in-house accounting system.
• Experience in a multinational or shipping/logistics environment will be an advantage.
