Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

We are dedicated to providing exceptional support to our executive and their wider teams and have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Executive Assistant to join us and contribute to our mission of ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all areas.

At Chorus, the Executive Assistant is a valued member of the business unit's leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a capable, curious and motivated individual to learn, grow and make a real impact, both within the team and across the wider business.

For the right person, this role offers the chance to:

  • Help lift the performance and effectiveness of the Executive(s) and teams you support, becoming a trusted problem solver and catalyst for improvement.
  • Bring fresh thinking, challenge the status quo and contribute ideas that drive positive change.
  • Enjoy the autonomy to innovate, backed by a leadership team that values initiative, creativity and continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone who is resourceful and highly accountable, who thrives in a team environment and is always ready to lend a hand.

To succeed in this role, you'll naturally anticipate what's needed before being asked, exercise good judgement and build trust through reliability and discretion, along with the ability to foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your personal resilience and ability to influence others will be key in driving success within the team. You enjoy finding better ways of working, embrace technology and actively contribute to a high-performing team culture.

Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Operating not just as an EA, but a trusted business partner who proactively takes ownership of tasks from end to end and understands why.
  • Providing executive support, managing the diary and ensuring preparedness for commitments while handling internal/external communications, including emails while managing document filing & preparation.
  • Attending meetings, taking notes, following up on action items and control agendas, along with prep of presentations or reports.
  • Monitoring and management of budgets - including expenses, credit card claims and travel arrangements.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience

To step into this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting Executive, GM or Senior Leadership-level leaders within a complex organisation.
  • Proven track record in administration, project coordination, and event management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

If you're a thinker as much as a doer, and thrive on building strong relationships, we'd love to hear from you. Bring your expertise, energy and initiative to a team that values partnership, trust and great outcomes.
