What they need

Work alongside the Directors of a growing Melbourne accounting and property group, in a role that makes real use of your marketing interest.

About Us

Trident is a Melbourne-based group with several businesses and service lines under one roof. Trident Financial Group is our accounting and tax practice, working with businesses and families. Trident Capital Group is our property investment and funds management business (AFSL 531934), which manages more than $100 million of commercial property.

Every part of the group is growing, and this role has been created in response to that. We are a close team and we intend to stay that way. You will know everyone by name, you will see how the whole business fits together, and the Directors are approachable and easy to work with.

About the Role

You will work directly with our Directors from our Surrey Hills office, five days a week. We have given this some thought and we would rather have the team together in the office. Much of what makes this role work is being in the room, across what is happening, and easy to reach.

The role covers the usual executive assistant ground: diaries, meetings, travel, correspondence, and supporting the Directors with their day-to-day work. About a quarter of your week is marketing, and it is substantive work rather than an afterthought. You will look after our LinkedIn presence, write and send our client newsletters, keep our websites up to date, and prepare the presentations and brochures that go out to clients and investors. You will also help us run our client events and seminars.

If you are the person who has always quietly improved the presentation before it went out, or rewritten the email that did not quite read right, you will enjoy that side of the role.

What You Will Be Doing

Supporting the Directors

  • Managing diaries, meetings and travel, and keeping ahead of what is coming up
  • Preparing letters, reports, agendas and meeting papers
  • Arranging meetings with clients, investors and advisers, and following through on the actions that come out of them
  • Keeping our records, files and compliance paperwork in good order
  • Assisting with the management of our commercial property holdings
  • Handling confidential information with care
  • Looking for better ways of working, including with AI tools. We take this seriously and you will have room to experiment.

Marketing and communications

  • Writing and scheduling our LinkedIn posts
  • Writing and sending newsletters and updates to clients and investors
  • Keeping our websites current
  • Preparing presentations, brochures and other client-facing material
  • Making sure everything that leaves the office reflects us well
  • Helping organise client events and seminars
  • Creating content for our social media channels

About You

Above all, we are looking for someone reliable, warm with people and careful with detail. Someone who notices what needs doing and takes care of it, and who is comfortable being the person everything runs through.

It would help if you have

  • Experience as an executive assistant, office coordinator or senior administrator. We would be glad to hear from someone who has done it for years, and equally from someone earlier in their career who is organised and eager to learn.
  • A real interest in marketing, however it developed: study, a side project, or a previous role
  • A good ear for writing. You can tell when something reads well and when it does not.
  • Confidence with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with Canva, LinkedIn, mailing list tools and website updates, or the willingness to learn them quickly
  • Discretion. You will see confidential client and investor information every day.
  • The ability to manage several things at once without letting any of them slip
  • Availability to work full time in our Surrey Hills office
  • A current driver's licence
  • Full Australian working rights

Experience in financial services or property management would be an advantage, though it is not essential.

Why You Would Enjoy Working Here

  • A varied role. No two days are quite the same, and you will not be confined to one narrow function.
  • Working directly with the Directors, with a clear view of how decisions are made across the group
  • The marketing side is yours to own. If you have a better idea about how we present ourselves, we want to hear it.
  • Room to grow the marketing part of the role as the business grows
  • A close, capable team where your contribution is noticed
  • A settled office where the whole team works side by side
