Description Executive Assistant Shoreham | Hybrid | £40,000 Be at the heart of a fast-growing business Focus Group is a £300m-revenue technology services company with 1,500 colleagues and over 30,000 SME customers (small and medium-sized businesses). We’re backed by Hg Capital, we’re growing quickly, and we’re investing in AI to change how we work and how we support our customers.
Behind a business moving this fast is a leadership team that needs to be organised, prepared and in the right place at the right time. That’s where you come in.
The role As an Executive Assistant, you’ll support members of our Executive Leadership Team and be a trusted point of contact for them. You’ll work as part of a wider EA team, so you’ll never be doing it alone. You’ll share cover, standards and ideas with colleagues who understand exactly what your day looks like.
No two days will be the same. One day you might be managing a diary full of competing priorities and drafting a message in an executive’s own voice. The next, you could be pulling together board papers or planning travel for a trip overseas. You’ll also help bring our offsites and team events to life.
You’ll be building relationships across the business and with board members, shareholders and external partners, so this is a role for someone who’s confident, calm and good with people.
What you'll be doing
- Managing complex diaries and inboxes for senior leaders
- Drafting and sending communications on their behalf
- Preparing meetings, papers, presentations, agendas and action points, and making sure follow-ups get done
- Supporting the creation of board presentations and papers
- Organising travel, including international trips, and managing expenses
- Looking after confidential information with discretion and good judgement
- Helping plan company-wide events and ELT offsites and dinners
- Working closely with the wider EA team to keep standards high and cover seamless
What we're looking for
- 3-5 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant, ideally at executive level or supporting senior leadership
- Experience supporting several senior people at once and juggling competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the confidence to write on behalf of senior people
- Great attention to detail and a talent for prioritising
- Discretion you can be trusted with
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- A proactive, flexible, positive attitude, and you stay steady when priorities change
It would be great if you also have
- Experience as an EA in a private equity-backed business
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude or Microsoft Copilot to work more efficiently
- A background in IT, telecoms or technology services
Benefits
- Holiday Allowance - 24 days + bank holidays + birthday leave.
- Hybrid working options - performance depending.
- Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
- Paid volunteering day * regular charity events.
- Wider company benefits across health, financial wellbeing, Pension etc.
