You will work closely with our Chief Executive and Chair, helping coordinate priorities, navigate competing demands, connect people and information, and keep things moving.
You will be trusted with important conversations, sensitive information and high-profile relationships. - Calm under pressure – competing priorities and tight deadlines are where you shine.
- Discreet and politically astute – you understand the importance of confidentiality, judgement and professional integrity.
- An outstanding communicator – you can write with clarity, confidence and purpose.
- Relationship focused – you are comfortable dealing with everyone from elected members and senior leaders to Ministers, iwi and community representatives.
- Detail driven – you spot the things others might miss and take pride in getting it right.
- Tech savvy – you are confident with Microsoft 365, digital workflows and document management systems.
- A step ahead – you anticipate needs, identify risks and solve problems.
You will ideally have 5+ years’ experience in a senior Executive Assistant or comparable role, with experience supporting a Chief Executive, senior executive or elected members. Experience in local or central government plus a relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
A full New Zealand driver licence is required.
**Why join us?**You will join a team that is passionate about the West Coast and the difference we make for our communities.
