What they need
Azure Standard is seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive & R&D Assistant to support our Director of Strategic Innovation & Product Development and the broader R&D team.
This is a hands-on support role for someone who is exceptionally organized, communicates well, follows through, and is comfortable managing a large number of moving pieces. Our R&D organization works across new product development, private label products, suppliers, packaging, manufacturing, sourcing, and commercialization.
The right person will help keep projects, meetings, communications, documents, samples, schedules, and follow-ups organized so the R&D team can move quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Strategic Innovation & Product Development.
- Manage scheduling, meetings, calendars, reminders, and follow-ups.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, document decisions, and track action items.
- Maintain organized project files, supplier information, specifications, samples, and R&D documentation.
- Track outstanding tasks and follow up with internal teams and outside suppliers.
- Assist with supplier communications, meeting coordination, and information requests.
- Coordinate product samples, including ordering, receiving, organizing, distributing, and tracking samples.
- Help prepare spreadsheets, presentations, reports, project summaries, and internal communications.
- Maintain R&D project trackers and ensure project information stays current.
- Assist with data entry and organization of product, supplier, pricing, packaging, and specification information.
- Coordinate meetings, calls, and other administrative logistics as needed.
- Help identify overdue items and follow up with the appropriate person rather than allowing tasks to stall.
- Support special projects and changing priorities as directed.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Proactive and comfortable following up with people.
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- A strong written and verbal communicator.
- Comfortable working directly with executives, employees, suppliers, and business partners.
- Able to take incomplete information and organize it into clear next steps.
- Reliable about deadlines and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change.
- Confident using spreadsheets, documents, email, calendars, project-management tools, and willing to pick up the phone to get answers.
- Able to handle confidential business information professionally.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of administrative, executive assistant, project coordination, operations, or similar professional experience preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace skills.
- Strong spreadsheet and document-management skills.
- Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
- Relevant industry experience in purchasing, manufacturing, food, CPG, agriculture, or supply-chain teams is helpful but not required.
- Experience with project-management systems is a plus.
Compensation
$24.00 per hour equivalent, structured as a full-time annual salary.
Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications within the approved range for the position.
