Executive Chef

Job Summary

The Cork and Cast is seeking an experienced, skilled, and dependable Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations, develop high-quality menu offerings, and maintain excellent food and service standards. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary leadership, organizational, and communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation
• Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff
• Develop and maintain menus, recipes, and kitchen standards
• Prepare and oversee high-quality dishes and menu items
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion standards
• Coordinate kitchen operations during busy service periods
• Monitor inventory, supplies, food costs, and ordering needs
• Ensure proper food storage, handling, and temperature control
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards

Requirements

• Previous Executive Chef, Head Chef, or senior culinary experience preferred
• Strong culinary and leadership skills
• Excellent menu planning and food preparation knowledge
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
