Executive Chef - Food & Nutrition Services

SUMMARY:

The Executive Chef will perform a variety of duties including: hands on preparation, cooking and serving of all foods for the patients, cafeteria doctors’ dining room and all catering events. The Executive Chef will lead the production team and support our mission by providing safe, therapeutic and innovative food to our patients, cafeteria and catering services.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Culinary Associate degree or higher, preferred.

Experience: 3 years’ experience in food operation. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Certifications/License: Membership of the American Culinary Federation as a certified Executive Chef, preferred and Successfully complete ServSafe Manager course within 6 months, and maintain all certifications.

Other: Required to supervise Chef, Cooks, Retail Supervisor, and Cafeteria Associates. Working knowledge of POS system, Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and vendor ordering system.

Ability to bend, squat and twist, and frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics. Spend up to 2 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
