Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager

We are looking for a talented, passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager / Executive Chef to take the helm of our Culinary team at our Julington Creek Location. Our concept brings together fresh coastal seafood, high quality sushi, and an elevated yet welcoming dining experience. We're searching for a hands on culinary leader who take pride in every plate, thrives in a high volume kitchen and hows how to build a strong team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct food preparation
• Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
• Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
• Recruit and manage kitchen staff
• Rectify arising problems or complaints
• Perform administrative duties, such as inventory, truck ordering and scheduling
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Keep time and payroll records
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

• Proven working experience as a head chef, kitchen manager or executive chef
• Excellent record of kitchen management
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
• Capable of delegating multiple tasks
• Communication and leadership skills
• Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
• Working the line with team members
• Able to work all stations to be able to guide, train and mentor
