We’re Hiring | Executive, Equipment Control – Operations

Are you passionate about container shipping, equipment management and operational excellence ?

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Executive, Equipment Control to join our Operations team at Ocean Network Express (ONE) .

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to play a hands-on role in managing container equipment, improving asset utilisation, working closely with terminals and depots, and turning operational data into meaningful insights.

What You’ll Do

As part of the Equipment Control team, you will be responsible for:

- Manage equipment reconciliation with terminals and off-dock yards to ensure accurate container inventory and system records.

- Monitor empty container stock and utilisation , identifying long-stay and idle equipment and supporting actions to improve equipment turnaround and positioning.

- Maintain accurate container movement and equipment status records in OPUS.

- Coordinate with terminals, depots and internal stakeholders on equipment movements, inventory discrepancies and operational exceptions.

- Support container maintenance & repair activities , including verification of depot repair-related documentation and invoices.

- Analyse operational data by extracting, reconciling and visualising information for regular reporting and management decision-making.

- Identify operational and cost optimisation opportunities through data analysis and effective equipment control.

• Support Equipment Control workflows and other day-to-day and ad-hoc operational activities as required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

Diploma-qualified in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related discipline.

Equipped with at least 2 years of relevant experience in maritime transportation, shipping, logistics, supply chain or equipment operations.

Familiar with container equipment, depot operations, terminal processes and empty-container management .

Knowledgeable in IICL standards, cargo-worthy inspection and container repair estimation — IICL certification will be an added advantage.

Strong in analytical thinking, problem-solving and attention to detail .

Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet operational deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel , including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and data analysis, as well as Google Workspace applications.
