Services: Datacenter Operations and Management (DC & DR)

Service Window: 24 X 7 (Monday to Sunday)

In-Scope Activity:

• Monitor and maintain DC environment as per standards defined.

• Restore activities of Stratus servers.

• Backup and restore activities using VERITAS utilities.

• Maintenance of VERITAS policies and configuration of backups, clients, etc.

• Maintenance of Master Servers and Media Servers.

• Processing data restoration requests.

• Media Management - Onsite and Offsite media movement.

• Maintaining inward and outward records of server hardware.

• Maintaining inventory of software licenses and media library.

• Call logging for all server hardware issues.

• Maintaining register for physical access in the Data Center.

• Preparation of Data Center status reports, including previous day's backups, environment checks, hardware failures, and network checks.

• Vendor management and call management.

• Monitor Data Center environmental settings such as temperature, power, etc.

• Maintain ITIL CMDB and ITIL process management.

• Coordinating with the Administration Department for inventory.

• Asset tagging, labeling, and inventory management.

• Access management for the Data Center and maintenance of physical activity logs.

• Monitoring all server hardware, network equipment, and network links through the tool (ManageEngine OpManager) provided by NCDEX for CPU, memory, disk space, and critical events.

• DC-Ops team will open tickets in the ticketing tool and assign them to the appropriate group.

• Daily monitoring of servers, storage, and network equipment for hardware errors or warning indicators (amber lights).

• Follow up on Severity 1 tickets until closure.

• L1 support for Microsoft and Unix administration activities.

• Deployment of antivirus agents and antivirus signatures on all DR servers and desktops.

• Perform change management processes as per NCDEX requirements. • Monitor backup jobs and take adequate action if necessary.

• Inventory management of all DR servers located at the NCDEX DR site. • Call ticket management.

• Vendor management for hardware installations and troubleshooting.

• Coordinating with vendors for resolving hardware calls.

• Monitor replication and take necessary action in case of failure.

• Sify DC team to coordinate with NCDEX KM, Mumbai team for day-to-day activities.

• Manage and maintain offline tape movement activities.

• Coordinate between Sify DC team and NCDEX to carry out scheduled activities.

• Support for infrastructure on cloud.
