What they need

If you are a strategic, grounded, relationship-oriented leader who believes healthy organizations create healthier outcomes for survivors, we would love to hear from you.

About SAGE: Founded in 2021 by a therapist, Survivors Alliance for Growth and Employment (SAGE) supports women who have experienced human trafficking and severe sexual trauma. SAGE creates a bridge for participants that often face barriers to obtaining or maintaining employment due to the symptoms of PTSD. Our model of providing behavioral health interventions while women are experiencing adversity at work has been praised by survivors and therapists alike.

Our Mission: Centered in God’s love for His children, we provide employment and supportive services to female survivors of human trafficking and sexual trauma so that each woman can achieve emotional and financial independence. Our values are safety, community, faith, autonomy, and growth.

The Opportunity: SAGE is seeking a part-time Executive Director to protect and magnify our mission while providing strategic leadership for the organization's long-term health and sustainability. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board, staff, donors, community partners, care partners, referral sources, and volunteers to establish and execute organizational priorities, strengthen financial sustainability, and build the relationships and resources necessary for SAGE to thrive. This is a hands-on leadership role in a growing nonprofit. The successful candidate will bring strategic vision, strong relationship-building skills, financial and organizational awareness, and trauma-informed leadership to a mission-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute SAGE's organizational vision and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with the Board on governance, objectives, budget, and operational planning.
  • Lead fundraising, donor development, grant writing, and community/business relationships.
  • Build relationships with care partners, referral sources, potential Board members, and community partners.
  • Supervise and develop two part-time Directors.
  • Support a healthy, trauma-informed organizational culture.
  • Monitor organizational finances, cash runway, risk, and sustainability.
  • Represent SAGE publicly and communicate our mission and impact.
  • Incorporate prayerful servant leadership while honoring the autonomy and experiences of survivors, including those impacted by religious trauma or coercion.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE

The Executive Director will be accountable for:

  • Cash runway
  • Overall revenue
  • Strategic priorities on track
  • Staff health and retention
  • Board engagement

Master's degree in nonprofit management or comparable experience.

  • 6+ years of experience in management, nonprofit leadership, behavioral health, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated success in fundraising and/or grant development.
  • Proven leadership and staff-management experience.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain healthy professional boundaries.
  • Commitment to SAGE's Christian mission and faith-based environment.
  • Experience with nonprofit Boards, survivor services, or complex trauma is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • 20 hours per week
  • Some evening and weekend availability is required for participant events and program needs.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs., extended standing/walking, and manual dexterity required.
