Executive Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Engineer to join our dynamic team at Surbana Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd. This position is located in Jurong West, West Region and will play a crucial role in our coastal engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out Civil and Structural analysis and design of coastal and marine infrastructures such as quay wall, port, jetty, retaining walls, , etc. for local and/or overseas projects.
• Carry out structural and geotechnical design of shallow and deep foundations.
• Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager / Design Manager to carry out:
• Plan for site investigation and result interpretation.
• managing subcontracts (i.e: soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, hydraulic surveyors, hydraulic study experts etc)
• Supervise both design and/or site work.
• Pursuing projects, preparing technical and financial proposals, obtaining internal approvals and tender submissions.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations, and Codes of Practice
• Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering recognized by BCA/IES/ACES and from reputable university.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering would be advantageous.
• Minimum 2- 5 years of relevant experience in large scale marine infrastructure projects using British Standards and Euro Codes. Fresh grads are welcome to apply too
• Basic knowledge of specialist marine studies such as berthing and mooring analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Team player and able to multi-task
• Disciplined, self-motivated and resourceful.
• Experience in contract administration will be advantageous.
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
• Proficiency in engineering software such as SAP, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD,
