About the role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Finance professional to join Vsconsultancy on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position based in Bukit Indah, Johor, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our financial operations. As Executive Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records whilst providing valuable insights to support business decision-making. This role is essential to the growth and sustainability of our organisation, combining technical expertise with strategic financial planning to drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial statements, ledgers and trial balances in compliance with accounting standards
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment schedules and collection activities
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity management
• Assist with statutory compliance and tax preparation requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
• Support budgeting and financial forecasting processes to aid management decision-making
• Maintain organised and secure financial records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as required
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation within the finance function

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, small practice accounting or similar financial management roles
• Proficient knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting standards
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modelling
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records
• Sound understanding of taxation, payroll and statutory compliance requirements
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to stakeholders
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members and senior management
• Professional demeanour with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct
• Preferred experience with Malaysian accounting regulations and GST/SST compliance
