---Job Summary

Residence Inn by Marriott in Texarkana, TX is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring efficient departmental operations, and providing leadership and support to housekeeping associates. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a hands-on approach to leadership.

---Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards.

• Assign daily cleaning responsibilities and monitor room productivity and completion.

• Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are consistently met.

• Train, coach, and provide ongoing guidance to housekeeping associates.

• Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to departmental procedures.

• Communicate room status updates and operational needs with Front Desk and Maintenance teams.

• Identify and report maintenance deficiencies and ensure timely follow-up.

• Monitor housekeeping inventory, including linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Assist with cleaning guest rooms and public areas as needed to support daily operations.

• Address guest requests and cleanliness concerns promptly and professionally.

• Support management in maintaining departmental efficiency, accountability, and guest satisfaction.

---Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required.

• Prior housekeeping supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lead, motivate, and hold team members accountable.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.

• Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn hotel operational systems.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Reliable attendance and a professional attitude are essential.

--- Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.

• Ability to push and maneuver housekeeping carts.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to perform housekeeping duties when necessary.
