Duties

• Lead and supervise the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of all hotel areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, laundry facilities, and back-of-house areas.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety protocols aligned with industry best practices and sanitation regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness standards, address deficiencies promptly, and uphold health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens; coordinate procurement to ensure smooth operations.
• Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, use of industrial cleaning equipment, and customer service excellence.
• Enforce compliance with sanitation standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies to maintain a secure and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership development, and recognition of outstanding performance.

Experience

• Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping or custodial management within a hospitality or commercial cleaning setting.
• Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning methods and janitorial best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
• Strong understanding of sanitation protocols, safety regulations, and management of cleaning & sanitation processes in a busy hotel environment.
• Experience overseeing laundry operations as part of overall housekeeping management is preferred.
• Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate with other departments and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Prior experience in hospitality or related fields emphasizing team supervision, management skills, and customer-focused service delivery.
