Executive - Imports

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma in Imports / Any Graduate.
• 2-5 years of experience in Import Procurement, Sourcing, or Purchase.
• Experience in procurement of chemicals and domestic/international sourcing of materials.
• Knowledge of import procedures, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and logistics coordination.
• Understanding of DGFT regulations, IEC requirements, and import documentation.
• Experience in handling PO, RFQs, supplier quotations, contract management, and vendor development.
• Knowledge of supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, Advanced Excel, and MIS reporting.
• Understanding of GST, import duties, freight costing, and landed cost calculation.
• Strong negotiation, commercial, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor material requirements based on production schedules and forecasts.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials for uninterrupted production.
• Prepare and release purchase orders as per procurement procedures.
• Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers for timely deliveries.
• Manage import deliveries and review import documentation.
• Coordinate with CHA, logistics partners, and freight forwarders.
• Monitor inventory levels and track critical shortages.
• Develop alternate suppliers and evaluate supplier performance.
• Negotiate price, lead time, quality, and commercial terms.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO documentation, and import/export regulations.
