Protecting Business Interests Through Effective Insurance & Claims Management

MISC Berhad is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Executive, Insurance to join our Group Insurance team under the Legal, Corporate Secretarial & Compliance Division .

In this role, you will support insurance administration, claims management, insurance procurement activities, and stakeholder coordination to ensure adequate insurance coverage and timely claims recovery across the Group. You will work closely with internal business units, insurance brokers, underwriters, consultants, and other industry stakeholders to safeguard MISC's interests and minimize risk exposure.

What You'll Be Doing:

Claims Management

• Review and administer Hull & Machinery and War Risk insurance claims.
• Support prompt claims recovery and minimize exposure in accordance with policy coverage and contractual provisions.
• Coordinate with insurers, brokers, adjusters, and other relevant parties during claims processing.

Insurance Procurement

• Support the preparation and administration of underwriting information for insurance renewals and procurement activities.
• Ensure competitive insurance terms and conditions are secured for the business.

Insurance Records & Administration

• Maintain accurate claims records and underwriting information for reporting and management purposes.
• Administer and disseminate insurance documentation to ensure compliance with coverage requirements.
• Support the management of insurance databases and records.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare periodic insurance claims reports and management updates.
• Assist in the collation and analysis of claims data to support decision-making and risk management initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain effective relationships with business units, subsidiaries, insurance brokers, underwriters, consultants, surveyors, adjusters, legal advisors, and other industry stakeholders.
• Coordinate with various parties to facilitate insurance-related activities and claim settlements.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience

• At least 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience .
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in insurance-related matters , preferably within the marine insurance sector.
