This position combines elements of data science, stakeholder management and leadership to contribute to IHACPA’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Understanding and analysing data collected from public hospitals, private hospitals, aged care providers, and other government bodies to design statistical models and answer complex policy questions.
• Providing input to the development of cost and pricing models for public hospitals and aged care services.
• Providing specialist advice to various IHACPA working groups, managing relationships, and working with stakeholders on technical issues.
• Preparing analytic working papers and technical documentation to communicate technical issues to key stakeholders.
• Supporting the IHACPA Executive in explaining model results and other technical issues to external stakeholders.
• Collaborating with other sections on IHACPA’s broader work program.

Mandatory requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, etc, or equivalent professional experience.
