Executive, Management Accounting (Outsource)

Roles & Responsibility:

Costing Management & Financial Reporting

• Perform month-end closing activities and variance analysis.
• Monitor actual costs vs. standard costs and investigate variances.
• Update and maintain costing records, pricing databases, and quotation templates.
• Compiling accurate cost data for analysis and assisting in the preparation of financial and management reports.

Inventory Management

• Assists stocktake activities and inventory reconciliation (half yearly).
• Respond to all audit requests with regard to valuation and costing of inventory.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure SAP system controls are properly maintained and utilized to support accurate costing, reporting, and financial compliance.
• Accountable for maintaining clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation and supporting evidence to ensure compliance with governance standards and to facilitate internal and external audits.
• Prepare reconciliations to support internal and external reporting requirements.

Others

• Participate in process improvements (PDCA) and suggest enhancements in templates/reports.
• Ensure work processes are fully aligned with ISO quality management system, Honda Corporate Governance (HCG), and Anti-Fraud policies.
• Compliance to internal process and financial controls, statutory requirements (SOX, PDCA Process, Income Tax Act, Accounting Standards).

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Knowledge of

• At least possess Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA /CPA).
• Basic knowledge of cost of sales bookkeeping, cost accounting principles and inventory valuation.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis.

Length of Experience

• 1 – 3 years’ experience in management accounting / cost accounting role.

• Computer literate, good Excel skills
